CLASS | Hanukka: Fricasseé – a Tunisian Specialty

Sunday, December 25, 2016

11am - 1pm

Over the years, it’s become our family tradition to make a Tunisian sandwich during Hanukkah. Join us in learning the secrets behind making the flavor-packed Tunisian Sandwich (Fricassee), a North African regional specialty and favorite Israeli street-food. We’re pretty sure you’ll want to make it a holiday tradition in your family as well.

On the agenda:

·  Will show you how to make the most vital component- The Bun. Deep-fried yeast dough goodness. (think of it as a savory holeless doughnut)

·  Will show you how to preserve tuna on your own (tuna in a can?? Forget about it- this is where it’s at)

·  Will be making & prepping all sandwich components (and there are many.. from finely chopped Israeli salad to potato salad, harissa, hard boiled egg, preserved lemon and Moroccan olives )

· Will be making (and drinking) a seasonal arak-based cocktail to enjoy alongside

· Enjoy the fruits of our labor by stuffing ourselves silly with one of the best sandwich there is. Guaranteed.

Location: Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn
(exact address will be supplied after booking)
