A Persian Inspired Shavuot Feast

In honor of our favorite Jewish holiday, Shavuot, we will be cooking a lavish dinner co-hosted by Homa Dashtaki of The White Moustache, an artisanal yogurt company that is taking the Brooklyn food world by storm. The Menu will be inspired by the rich flavors of Persian cuisine (think: saffron, rose, pistachio, pomegranate) combined with iconic Shavuot food customs (think: blintzes, blintzes and more blintzes)

The dinner will kick off a series of curated food events hosted by New York Shuk. Each event is co-hosted by one of their favorite ‘boss ladies’ of Brooklyn food world.
Held in the Arazi’s beautiful Bed-Stuy brownstone, each experience will be as intimate and homey as it is delicious.

The White Moustache- an artisanal old world food company making Persian and Greek yogurts the traditional way. Owner Homa Dashtaki takes yogurt to a whole other level; thick, smooth and glossy and with Middle Eastern flavors such as date, quince and sour cherry. Each spoonful is a decadent and delicious treat.

New York Shuk- an artisanal food company focusing on Sephardic and Middle Eastern Jewish cuisines. Their line of handcrafted pantry staples gives YOU the tools you need to bring true Middle Eastern flavors to your kitchen.  In today's modern food culture, so many of our beloved traditional foods and culinary practices are being lost. That is why New York Shuk focuses not only on craftsmanship, but on keeping our edible heritage alive and evolving with events and dinners.
