About New York Shuk

New York Shuk was founded by Ron & Leetal Arazi. We create Middle-Eastern spices and condiments (like zesty Za’atar to tomato-y Matbucha) with a goal to educate and equip home cooks with tools and resources, and help you build the pantry of your dreams. What we do is a big part of our personal story, as we strive to keep our culinary heritage alive and encourage foodies across the country to experiment with our flavors. 

With a well-stocked pantry, you can create magic with the simplest ingredients. We believe in the fact that delicious food does not have to be complicated, that’s why the recipes on our website are easily approachable for anyone - whether you’re a professional chef or a beginner home cook.

As we strive to educate others about our flavors and build a community, it’s crucial for us to have a personal connection with our New York Shuk fam. We host both in-person (NYC-based) and free virtual classes for anyone interested to learn more about NY Shuk and adding a Middle-Eastern flare to your cooking.
